Ash Body and Maple Neck
The STARGAZER-5's ash body gives you an extra-resonant tone with crystal-clear highs, well-defined mids, and powerful lows. The figured maple top lets the Crimson Ghost finish really shine.
A 34-inch scale bolt-on maple neck helps emphasize the body wood, and boasts a rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. Mother of pearl block inlays complete the classic look.
EMG Pickups and Active 2-Band EQ
In the bridge position MMHZ is a passive pickup with a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. Featuring EMG's CS design (Ceramic and Steel), this has the punch and fullness of older passive designs with added brightness for a better-defined tone. The MMHZ is wired for both dual-coil and single-coil use, changed through the push/pull volume pot.
The SJHZ pickup in the neck position features a stacked design, using ceramic magnets and a laminated steel core to increase output and lower noise.
Adjust the master blend between the two pickups, and use the EMG Active 2-band EQ with selectable frequencies for further versatility, dialing in your tone just right for any application.
Graph Tech "Tusq" Nut
The precision Tusq nut is made with Graph Tech's "man made ivory," which couples the strings' vibrations to the neck and is impregnated with Teflon to improve the tuning performance of your guitar. Play as hard as you want, bend a few steps, and your strings glide back into tune. The highly resonant material also means you'll get more richness and harmonics from every note.

"Great Rick sound and look" 2009-06-30

This bass is definitely modeled after the old Rickenbacker style basses.. But at a thrid of the price. Split coil pickup makes this sound very much like a Fender Jazz. The active EG EMG pick ups rock! You can boost your treble or bass or both.. Great for a different feel for each song. Also has a nice blend knob. The neck feels great with a satin finish on it.
Great bass for a great price.
